Data usage disclosure

What the Pseudora extension collects, in the categories the Chrome Web Store asks about — restated here so anyone can read it without opening the store listing.

Personally identifiable information	Yes	The text you submit for anonymization may contain names, addresses, fiscal codes and similar identifiers — detecting them is the product's purpose. It is processed to produce the anonymized output and is not retained beyond the reversible mapping needed for Restore.
Personal communications	Yes	The prompt text you choose to anonymize is a message you were about to send. Only the text you explicitly submit is read; conversation history is not.
Authentication information	Yes	Your API key, or your OAuth access and refresh tokens, stored in browser storage and sent as an Authorization header to your configured endpoint.
Website content	Yes	Limited to the value of the prompt input field on chatgpt.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com, read only on click.
Health information	No	Not collected as a category. If you paste clinical text into the prompt it is treated exactly like any other text — processed for anonymization, never categorized or profiled.
Financial and payment information	No	Never collected by the extension. Billing runs on the website through Stripe.
Location	No	Never collected.
Web history	No	Never collected. The extension cannot see your browsing history.
User activity	No	No clickstream, keystroke or behavioural analytics. The only event recorded is an optional thumbs-up / thumbs-down you send on an anonymization result.

Developer certifications

We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, outside of the approved use cases.
We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the item's single purpose.
We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Retention and deletion

Reversible mappings live only as long as the retention TTL configured for your account, and are encrypted at rest and scoped to your tenant. Usage and audit records keep metadata and digests, never original values. Deleting your account removes all of it. Uninstalling the extension clears everything held in the browser.

Self-hosted

Point the extension at your own Pseudora instance and none of the above data reaches our infrastructure at all — it stays on your server.
